About Me

Member of the BACP and registered with the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council).

My approach

My training is in Psychodynamic counselling which, as well as exploring the present issues, may look to the past and the unconscious links to the past to understand the issues that you currently face in your life. A counselling relationship can be a very rewarding and life changing partnership and is based on trust and working together.  If you are in crisis I can offer a supportive and holding place in which to contain your distress. If you are wanting to explore your life in  a deeper way I can work alongside you to help uncover the more uncounscious parts of yourself.

My work experience

For 20 years and prior to training as a counsellor I have worked  in education and caring for children.

Since training as a counsellor at Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy I have worked with adults in a charity setting. I have also worked as a schools counsellor.

I have worked as a course leader for a counselling training, supporting trainees in becoming counsellors.

As well as my private clinic I work at Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy in training and in youth counselling work.
